A versatile shape design allows the heating function to be integrated into high-strength ceramic parts, such as cutting knives, welding jaws and tools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The high power density is achieved by sintering conductive ceramic in a shell of insulating ceramic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The excellent ageing and wear resistance of the ceramics guarantees a long service life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Holes, class=\"mb-0\">Flat heaters made of silicon nitride are typically rectangular. Various dimensions and batch sizes can be produced within our die diameter of 400 mm. The properties of the ceramic and the low mass enable fast heating rates, homogeneous temperature distribution and very good control accuracy.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-0\">Small heating elements can be operated in a controlled manner with a very high surface power and allow high process cycle times. Due to the low thermal expansion of the ceramic, the surface remains very flat compared to metals, even during thermal cycling. The high strength of the hot-pressed silicon nitride allows high loads (e.g. under pressure) with very low wear.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-0\">We offer flat heaters for operation in air up to 500\u00b0C. The small flat heating elements are primarily used where heat needs to be generated precisely and with high power density in a small installation space, for example in nozzle heating systems, for dynamic heating of tool tips &#8211; for example in pick-and-place applications, flip-chip or die-bond processes in electronics and semiconductor production. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-0\">Due to the low mass of the heating element, there is no need to heat a lot of surrounding Material unnecessarily: This helps to save energy by preventing waste heat from escaping into the surroundings of the heating element.
